Poster for Open Studios 2009 in Boulder
This year I opened up my home studio to the public as part of Boulder's Open Studios. People came by throughout the first two weekends of October despite the unseasonably cold weather. Regardless of my proclivity for keeping to myself, it was a very cool experience. I had the opportunity to talk about colored pencils and the ideas and stories behind my work. One person kindly stated, "You're like the illustrators that went on adventures with people like Darwin, but because now everything is discovered, you have created your own creatures, plants, and places." Pretty accurate.
